A Sporting Weekend
If you love sports, this weekend is for you. Both the NBA and NHL finals are underway. On the basketball court, Tyrese Haliburton leads the Indiana Pacers against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder. For hockey fans, the Florida Panthers are facing off against the Edmonton Oilers. If tennis is more your style, the French Open finals are being played at Roland Garros. Like sports that are fast and furious? Don’t miss the Belmont Stakes, where a winner will be crowned in less than three minutes.

Let’s Talk Tonys
This weekend, the who’s who of Broadway compete for a coveted trophy at the 2025 Tony Awards. There’s sure to be lots of singing, dancing, and drama—we’re talking about the theater here, after all! What else can we expect from Broadway’s biggest night?
Hollywood stars left Los Angeles behind this year to take a turn on the stage. George Clooney received a nomination for best lead actor in a play for his portrayal of real-life broadcaster Edward R. Murrow in the drama Good Night, and Good Luck. Clooney was joined on Broadway by fellow film and TV stars Mia Farrow, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Snook, and Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink, all of whom received Tony nominations.
Dueling divasLiterally, in the case of Death Becomes Her’s undead frenemies, who battle their way across the stage in a musical adaptation of the 1992 comedy. Costars Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard are joined in the category of best actress in a musical by Broadway legend Audra McDonald (Gypsy), former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger (Sunset Boulevard), and newcomer Jasmine Amy Rogers (Boop!).
Blood and gutsDeath was a major theme on Broadway this season. Death Becomes Her and Dead Outlaw are the most obvious culprits, but Romeo + Juliet, Oh, Mary!, and Sunset Boulevard all get gory. Audience discretion is advised.
